I've never seen a bigger bunch of idiots! This started with Citibank. After my father passed away I called Citibank several times with his account number and attempted to inform then that he had passed away, but they kept sending payment notices. Eventually it went to collection. I received multiple phone calls and letters. Once again I attempted to inform the collection agency that my father had passed. I even offered to send a copy of the death certificate, but they refused to speak to me. They sued my deceased father and sent the court papers to my address. I called both the court and the law offices and informed them of the situation, and sent a copy of the death certificate to both. Today the mail-lady brought me certified mail from the sheriffs office addressed to my father, so I call them to find out what's going on. It turns out that David Apothaker & Associates LLC are still attempting to extort money from my deceased father. I attempted to call their offices and no one would speak to me and everyone had an attitude problem and was extremely rude. How am I supposed to have an account number when I didn't even know a debt I don't own went to this office?? I don't even have words for how messed up the whole situation is!
