Yorktown Arms

I've grown up in the Yorktown neighborhood my entire life. I graduated from Wm.Penn high school in 1978 and my mother still lives on 12th and Girard Avenue. I've worked for different places in the neighborhood like Eddie's delicatessen and Kessler's supply company. I also worked for Cumbley and Sons, and I helped build the Yorktown Arms apartments. About two weeks ago I applied for an apartment there and was very pleased with the upkeep of the building and very pleased with the young woman who accepted my application (Ms. Nicole Hamilton). She was very pleasant and understanding of my needs and urgency to move. I signed all the paperwork and Wednesday 07/29, I was told that I would be signing my lease before the week was ended. I've tried calling the manager office back and couldn't get an answer. I went down to the office on Monday 08/03 and to my surprise, Ms. Hamilton was no longer employed there. But I introduced myself to another young woman (Ms. Delores), I believe her name was. She was very pleasant and professional. I explained the situation to her and she assured me that she would call me. My prayers are that I hope they did not over look my application and gave apartment #305 to someone else. Because after 08/10/2020 I will not have any place to live.
