George replaced the dishwasher panel because he determined that the timer was bad. George is very knowledgeable about most everything and he explains why the problem happened and what he had to do to fix it.

Should absolutely be zero stars. I strongly encourage anyone considering renting from this complex to read this review first. While the apartments are in a good location (near the sports stadiums and outside the heart of the city), living here simply is not worth it. The complex is overrun with stray cats, there is a constant smell of smoke and overflowing garbage, and the office staff is both deceiving and inept. The complex is also directly next to a train track, but the two are separated by a line of trees, so you won't realize it while you're viewing an apartment unless a train happens to pass by. However, trains do run at all hours of the night, with multiple trains passing by each hour overnight. I'll detail each of those issues below, starting with the management issues. After living at Gateway Enclaves for 2 years, we received an offer to renew our lease for a 3rd year on December 23rd. However, just 5 days later, we received a letter saying we were not being offered a renewal this year due to "refusing the property owner access to the unit." Considering we had never refused entry to anyone -- and my wife and I had actually coordinated work schedules in the past specifically to make sure we were home for the various inspections, installations, etc. I immediately reached out to the front office to ask about the letter and I was told by a staff member that my file said "Refusal to allow entry, please see attached file" -- but he said there was nothing attached. He asked me to reach out to the community director, Marva Brown. I left her a message and emailed her, but did not hear back for 3 days. At that point, I reached out to the regional manager, John Samuel (he had been the community director here prior to Marva), to ask him about it. Again, no answer. I decided to call the property management company and they referred me to the COO, Brian Kroker. I reached out to Brian with my concerns, and suddenly, Marva finally decided to respond that evening. She again could not provide details about any time when I "refused entry" to anyone, but she said she'd look into it. She called back the following day with a completely fabricated story about us denying entry to contractors who had come to put in new windows for all the apartments. I had emails back and forth with John Samuel showing that I actually went out of my way to accomodate the window crew after they mistakenly brought the wrong size windows on the date they were supposed to do our apartment. I gave John a list of many dates that I could be available to accomodate them coming back out to replace our windows, which they did just a week later. John initially lied in an attempt to cover his own tracks, but I ultimately produced the email chain showing that he was not being truthful. Brian Kroker offered to renew our lease at that point, but we were no longer interested. This apartment complex also attempted to charge us an extra $25 per month for our rent after we signed the lease and moved in. When I called to ask why the rent was $25 higher for the second month, they told me that the amount I agreed to previously was the "estimated amount on the exact day I came to look at the apartment, but prices change daily based on market values." When I pointed out that I signed a lease with the previous amount listed on it, they finally agreed to offer me a "rent credit" to adjust my rent back to the amount that was listed on the lease that we had all signed. It was a classic attempt at a bait-and-switch, and they initially did not budge until I told them I was considering litigation. Unfortunately, I don't have space to go into further detail about the problems with stray cats, noise, parking, trains, and the fact that I had to continuously call and track down my own security deposit return even after the 30-day deadline had passed, but please consider all other options before moving in here.
