image Two stars only because the staff was very friendly. However, they are friendly in a way that its obvious that they are only nice due to the sales field they are in. They did help me when it came to a leasing issue with a person that used to live with me, and came off as understanding to which I am grateful. However, they are extremely stingy and will hold your money come hell or high waters. I originally had my own fridge, and upon it not working anymore, they allowed me to get the fridge back that came with the apartment. They gave it to me filled with black mold due to poor storage and they did not care, only informing me on how to clean it. (keep in mind, I did not sign an "as-is" agreement. I understand this is courteous, however there should be standards especially for the $710 I was paying a month for a one bedroom basement apartment with windows that don't open due to either mold, malfunctions, or lack of a secure screen). When winter came, my thermostat showed an average of 62-64. Upon complaining multiple times and providing pictures, they came in and took my thermostat and plastered over the hole they left in the wall. I was told they would come back and paint it, though they never did and instead charged me my security deposit for painting over a damage that they caused themselves, even though painting is considered a "normal wear and tear" in Pennsylvania and should not have been considered a reason to charge me. Upon speaking to my neighbor who was the floor above me at the time, she stated that she had also complained about the heating issue to no avail. This remained unresolved even after the thermostat was ripped out, which leads me to believe that they were doing this in an attempt to make the true inside temperature unknown. They also deleted all of the work orders and pictures that I had on the website, so I was not able to reference them. I recommend this company if you are moving into an apartment that is pristine right off the bat, but unless this is the case I would be extremely careful and take the reviews left on here seriously. This is a business for profit, after all.

Desire, we are glad that you found us friendly and understanding during your 2 years with us. We genuinely care about our tenants and were ourselves disappointed in regards the episode of the refrigerator.When you mentioned the window screens in your move in inspection, we sent maintenance right away to assess and repair the problem. Maintenance reported back to our office that when he left all the duct tape had been removed and all of the windows had existing screens that were closing properly. Some of the screens were not visible because they had been pushed all the way up and so he put them down for you.As explained to you on 11/8/21 the thermostat located in the second-floor apartment is the thermostat that controls the furnace. Maintenance went and turned up the heat and we asked you to “definitely let (us) know if you still aren’t warm enough by tomorrow. We want you to be comfortable.” After that, to eliminate the misconception of temperature control and the inevitable frustration that would ensue, we removed the old, non-working, thermostat from your first-floor apartment and patched the wall. Unfortunately, we did not realize that the sanding and painting part of that process had not been completed. Improvements to our in-office communication system have since been improved upon to avoid this kind of mistake in the future.Communication between a landlord and a tenant is always important especially when mistakes are made or misunderstandings occur. You said that ‘we hold onto your money come hell or high waters’ but you never contacted our office to resolve this issue so how do you know what we would or would not have done to work with you? Being just and fair is very important to us. Please contact us if you would like a refund for the charge for the living room wall repair as well as for the cleaning product you purchased for the refrigerator, and the time it would have taken for you to clean it.We have contacted our property software provider regarding why you could not see the work orders anymore. Their reply was: “Work orders assigned to a lease are not visible once the resident moves out. If the tenant needs to reference them you would need to provide them with that information from within PropertyBoss via email.” We did not maliciously delete them and did not know that you could not see them anymore. If you had communicated with us, we would have helped you! If you would like us to email you a work order to reference, again, please contact our office.

image Giving 2 starts because I use the college laundry 101 laundry matt to wash cloths. Seems like the quarter machine is hardly ever in severe! They have OLD laundry powered there that is pretty much a brick. I had called the number posted on the wall to see if someone would be able to come to fix it. I waited down there for 30-40 mins as I was told they are calling someone to send down there an never showed up so I had to run somewhere else to wash cloths. Ive used this laundry matt since Ive lived a-crossed from it for almost 2 years now, every time I go down to do cloths I have to go somewhere else.

Dear Tisha, Sorry your experience at our self-service laundromat wasn't satisfactory. We received your call on a Sunday and service support was not available that weekend. We were not aware of the problem with the coin machine. It has been resolved and will be checked more often. We check messages often everyday and hope you will call us if there is another issue. We are sorry the soap we've used for years was also unsatisfactory. We will discuss this problem with the supplier.
