I started going last Nov and did all testing and seen the phyc Dr and let me mind you I drove 2 hrs since April every month. Then they close and I was to the point of having my surgery date. So I had to find someone els ( I should of done anyhow) so here I am October and finally done with all that needs to beDone (Again) and weighting on a surgery date cause the place I had to transfer to can't figure out a schedule. So I've been at it for almost a year. Never gave up but frustrated and spent lot of money to the place that didn't do anything.

Dr. Marymor is a wonder wonderful surgeon. He performed my roux en y back in 2015 and I several years later I am still much lighter and healthier than I was an a obese woman. I have never had any post surgery problems, ever!

Drove from Newark DE, took all my paperwork, gave all my insurance info before my visit. Had all my medical records and test results sent over. Met with the doctor in a room with 2 other people then later we met one on one. I explained I had a gastric band removed 2 years ago (btw he refuses to do the band.) That's when the conversation turned to insurance. He seemed more worried about the insurance then the surgery then said it was possible my stomach was fused to my liver which I thought was ridiculous. A few days later they called me and said my insurance wasn't going to cover the surgery (I called my insurance and they said they would cover it). I asked Barix to please send back all my medical records to me (they have my address) and they still haven't done it. My insurance will be covering the surgery in Delaware with Chrias. A total waste of time and effort on my part. I can't believe my husband and I took a day off work to drive 90 mins. only to have them say the insurance won't cover it. A huge waste of time. BTW, my sleeve surgery w/Chrias is scheduled for the end of August.

I had my surgery here 6 months ago with Dr. Powell and from beginning to end I have 0 complaints. I would definitely recommend. The insurance department was helpful in making sure it was clear exactly what I'd owe at the end. Having a caring surgeon helps with the 1.5 hr drive it takes to get there.
