I spoke with Sam at ADT on 11.14.23 and explained I was selling my home and will be discontinuing the monitoring service soon. I then called on 12.12.23 to stop the monitoring as I told Sam I would. Now, I get a bill for an additional month of monitoring since they say I needed to call the main 800 number 30 days in advance! I have never dealt with a more arrogant and disrespectful company in my life. Ending service with ADT was the absolute hardest task I had in the entire sale process of my home. I will never, never spend a dime with ADT. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and do business with a small, locally owned independent security company if it is at all possible. Lesson learned.

You guy here cut off my wife, flicked her off, rolled his window down and threatened her, then followed her for 2 miles on highway. She was shaking for hours.

I just got ADT a week ago. Absolutely terrible customer service and its impossible to cancel service. They tell you that you have 30 days to cancel but its really only 3 days according to the rep I spoke with. Im out $350 on top of a $200 hvac visit for a nest thermostat that was never hooked up properly and not even compatible with my hvac unit. Do not under any circumstances trust this company. The customer service rep actually told me that her supervisor said to try to sell the thermostat on Facebook marketplace. They refused to refund me nor cancel my service without paying 100% of the 2 year contract. I havent even had service for more than two weeks. And once youre set up, good luck trying to reach anyone if you have issues. Terrible untrustworthy company.
