I waited through a full winter and summer season to write a review to make sure I was giving the company a fair shot. I am not normally one to write a negative review because I certainly do not want to hurt someone's business however, what outweighs that is I do not want what happened to us to happen to anyone else. We spent almost $7K (half of our savings - we are a younger couple), with half of that cost being due to USA Insulations mistakes. During the "evaluation", the only thing that was done was measurements were taken - me, not knowing the process, did not realize that he should be evaluating the house to see where the issue was and how they could fix it. He asked us to pay up front - which looking back, obviously was our mistake. The team comes in, the person who is looking at the "evaluators" directions, literally said to us "I cant even read what he wrote on this". Hearing that doesn't really inspire confidence but as I said, we were made to pay upfront. I called after they were done because we were convinced they missed a spot or two because the rooms were still freezing (this was end February 2023). They said they would send someone out to take a look. Well thankfully, this man was extremely knowledgeable and was able to take one look at our house (from the outside!) and tell us that what was done unfortunately would not solve our issue and we needed something completely different (mind you he didnt say it exactly in a way to throw the company under the bus, but hearing that what was done would not solve our problem, its pretty easy to read through the lines there). This was not a money grab, he explained to me completely where the air was getting into the home and you could tell he felt horrible about the situation. So, another team comes out to do what ACTUALLY needed to be done, but, we still have to pay for it, even though it was their mistake that the incorrect thing was done in the first place! By the time they came out, it was May, so we didnt have a good gauge on if it worked or not. Well let me tell you - we spent $7K for something that made the rooms maybe 7-10 degrees warmer? So we actually had to install a thermostat sensor in our son's room, and we use that to set the temperature for the whole house so he is not freezing (and we just sweat). There has been zero decrease in our bills as they touted. So no, do not take the chance on something so expensive that could or could not work. P.S. we do not have an old drafty home that might have been really difficult to work with - it was built in 2018.
