Let me start out with it all sounded great in the beginning. I contacted Faith Watkins via email looking for an attentive loan officer and we are in a time crutch to secure housing. I received an email almost minutes later where she talks herself up really good stating she is very attentive to her clients. She offered to meet on the phone via the email which almost seemed as if it were pre typed form letter. I responded with my needs and my situation which is challenging but not impossible. This is where I feel like she lost interest as I am not the perfect borrower. I have challenges but they are not impossible to overcome. No follow phone call ever came nor an email to engage in one. Instead it was followed by another cut and paste response directing me to start an application and upload documents. She had a few questions in that email one of them was my veteran status and we could try to seek a VA loan if I was. While I am a vet, I mentioned to her that my early honorable discharge has me in a funny place with benefits that I am currently sorting out with the VA. It would take me longer than desired to get those sorted out so VA loan is not an option for me at this time. A few days go by after uploading all the requested documents to her. I would have expected a follow up within a day, but there was none. So I reached out asking what the status was and where do we go from here. That is when I got another automated email asking me to upload more documents. The document they requested was a DD214. I already stated in a previous email that a VA loan is not an option for me at this time. I then sent an email asking why she wants a DD214 and then I got another email asking for another document which I cannot produce until she does her part of things as the process requires two steps. Hers comes first. With that being said, I asked her in an email how many of these types of mortgages have you done for a person in my situation. The result was a condescending reply back stating how meticulous and diligent she is and how much her pre approval letters stand out with agents. She also stated she understands if I feel the need to move on. I would have expected an answer that instills confidence and trust. The fact she missed details about my veteran status and skated around my question about her experience with these particular situations tells me she is not very meticulous at all. The closing statement was enough for me to realize she had zero interest in customer satisfaction and I should find someone who is more attentive to my needs. This fiasco cost me a hard pull on my credit report and a lot of wasted time. Services provided by Guild and Faith were the exact opposite of what they claim to be.

My wife and I worked with Shane at the NW Guild office. We were very pleased with his professionalism and quality of work. We had shopped around and looked at other mortgage brokers prior to visiting Guild and were left underwhelmed. We were very thankful to have found Guild; it was a no-brainer to go with them for our mortgage.

“Todd Seymour was great. He was so patient with my husband and I every time he spoke with us (we had a lot of questions). He made sure that he answered all of our questions and that the answers made sense. He was very efficient in the process and we were able to close in just a month. Did I mentioned he helped us in Spanish.”

Todd Seymour was a fantastic resource to my wife and I during our home buying experience. We were new to the whole situation and had many questions. Todd helped us through every step of the way. He is great with people, and brought comfort to us and our needs. We highly recommend Todd, and are grateful for his service.
