We had Eunice as our realtor and she truly went above and beyond for me as a first time home owner with many dumb questions. She has even kept in contact for any questions months after we've closed and moved in to the new house. Eunice treated us as friends and made the whole process comfortable. She was always good about responding asap to any texts or getting right on top of any new house listings we were interested in. I would recommend her and Earnest real estate to any friends or family and would definitely turn to her again if I ever needed to buy or sell again.

In the market for a specific goal (buy a home with an already-existing or potential ADU) Beth Earnest - owner of Earnest Real Estate - was recommended to my girlfriend and me by a trusted advisor. Two months later, as we sit in the master bedroom of our new house that is exactly what we hoped for, we cant help but feel overwhelming gratitude and respect for Beth and Tracy. As things go, buying a home is never a simple, breezy process. With that in mind, Beth abs Tracy made what could have been a stressful and time-sucking situation something quite manageable and even exciting. We received honest and sobering advice as we asked for it and only rarely when we didnt. This point is very important. Ive had real estate agents give their opinions that conflicted with what I wanted while not disclosing or researching parts of the home that could be trouble spots later on or present unseen costs. Beth and Tracy had a masterful way of telling us upfront how they worked, what their priorities were in finding all their clients homes, making sure we knew that we could ask them anything during the process, and then filtering the necessary information to us from the overwhelming or tedious/unimportant details. Here is where you find what separates the experts from simply the ambitious: their ability to screen you from the sellers drama while knowing how to inform you of the information necessary to make a responsible, long-term purchase. Throughout the process, we knew we were in good hands as we had new info and the offer of vetted opinions/options given that reduced the myriad complexities of decisions that would affect us financially, emotionally, and relationally over the long-term. We settled on a house we loved with the luxury of Beth and Tracy seemingly forensically investigating this 1947 home from the dirt hole filled with insect-inciting lumber under the foundation (that swallowed the inspectors wheeled drone!) to the out-of-code electrical panel that would have cost us $2400 out of pocket had she not noticed it. It seems so easy to become comfortable or complacent with a process as overwhelming and multifaceted as the home-buying process, but Beth and Tracy arent interested in doing the minimal work for the maximum dollar. After the process was over, we learned just how much they insulated us from the sellers drama (we had NO idea) and how stressful and overwhelming it could have been for us. Theyre such professionals. They are a great example of the difference between someone working hard at their job vs. someone having committed much of their life to being the best in their chosen career.

Kara worked endlessly to help us find and secure the house of our dreams. My husband and I moved from out of town and Kara spent full days and days going all over the city with us to make sure we explored every neighborhood Portland has to offer. She pointed out the downfalls in houses that those not in the real estate industry, like my husband and I, would have missed. She is consistently on the ball and had our backs. With a real estate market that moves so fast like in Portland, I can't say enough how important it is to have someone who is always up to speed and looking out for you. She is not pushy at all and when we did find the house of our dreams, Kara fought for us throughout our offer, inspection and negotiations. Kara even spent hours upon hours after closing holding the sellers accountable for promises they made and were slow to fulfill. Requests that we thought there was no way the seller would agree to, like replacing the sewer and decommissioning oil tanks to name a few, Kara made happen effortlessly. Kara is intelligent, diligent and takes pride in her work and cares about her clients. We LOVE our dream home and have Kara to thank for that.
