Providence Heart Clinic at Gateway

Staff was great. The cardiac PA with whom I had an appointment was 50 minutes late to the first appointment of the day. He had gone to the wrong facility and had not noticed until he was already late. He apologized, but overall the experience is poor.

I am not impressed with clinic so far. I have a lot of questions. About my heart and what I should be doing about it. My heart issues have been ignored. For too long. I felt something was wrong. Doctors dropped the ball on this one. Not happy or my family that is in the medical field. My family says if something happens to me. They are seeking legal

Sad to have to leave such a poor review. The nurses and receptionists were kind, professional and welcoming; however, the doctor I saw was extremely condescending, patronizing, and unprofessional. The doctor belittled everything that I told her, acted as if I was lying and seeking drugs, and refused to listen to anything I said, instead she argued with me. She refused to do any tests or allow me to get any done, and instead told me that nothing was wrong, despite my medical history. She also told me about one of her former patients, in order to scare me away from asking for help. If not for the other staff, this would be a 0 star review.

My heart doctor at Providence Gateway Heart Clinic is awesome as are most staff. However Nurse Practitioner Benjamin J Hartwig is so childish and bullying that I’ve requested that he not be part of my heart rhythm team. Unfortunately, my written and telephonic efforts to reach the Clinic manager have been unsuccessful. Providence has a concern/complaint link that I’ve accessed twice with no response. Post script: since I wrote this review I have been contacted by a manager. This lady (Sharon D.) was very nice and professional. She listened to my concerns and has made the necessary change (a different nurse practitioner). I’m now fully satisfied that I’ve been heard and can proceed comfortably in my treatment. I love the doctors and staff. They have been awesome. I totally trust them with the decisions they make. I trust them with my life.
