image So unstable. Eye Health NW, Providence and then Legacy always creating uncertainty with contracts. Used to be a great name, now just caused stress.

image I am a mental health professional counseling associate and below is my experience. I spent hours filling out forms, and following up with them to make sure I could get credentialed. I had to reapply over 4 times as they lost all or part of my application, or had given unclear or complicated instructions. When they finally got my full application, they notified me I did not qualify to be credentialed as an associate. This was inconsistent with the information I got from them when I first called. I would not recommend for providers.

image I love my health insurance. I have never once had someone not help me when I reach out for help with anything. I know I am blessed to have this wonderful coverage that I have. I am also thankful that my kids while going to college were able to stay on this health plan.

image My asthma inhalers cost $50a peace. I have to pay to breath apparently. But I can get a poisoned shot that will kill me for free

image Regence Medicare Advantage plan refused to reimburse the cost of a flu vaccine for my 102 year old stepfather, even though he received the vaccine shot through his primary care doctor who is fully In-Network. This, after a constant barrage of reminders by Regence to encourage Flu vaccination - particularly for the most vulnerable elderly. Regence constantly tries to wriggle out of their contractual obligations and substitute their outside contractors by using high pressure sales tactics instead of allowing services by In Network primary care providers who are chosen by their members. Bait and switch. Regence pays only a tiny fraction of medication costs unless you switch from an In- Network pharmacy to a pharmacy of their choosing. They don't include all of these extra costs you are paying towards of your yearly Out of Pocket expenses. Their appeals process for their denials is a joke, with endless hoops to jump through before a member can lodge an appeal. It's easier and less expensive for us to take the loss and just be thankful to have escaped from this awful Regence Medicare Advantage Plan and switch to another company during the yearly Medicare Open Enrollment period. In prior years, we've had other Regence of Oregon plans which were not too bad, although they made frequent errors (always in their favor), but in our experience, Regence has changed and is now a disaster for it's Medicare Advantage members.
