JT SMITH Construction is the main General Contractor on the large apartment community behind me in Vancouver, Wa. Nearly 18 months ago (October 2017) I notified the heavy equipment operators that my fence was starting to sag as a result of their work on the other side of me. For months we listened to and felt shaking from early AM till they were done in the late afternoon. I had to replace a latteral board because my corner post shifted about 4 inches and there is no such thing as a board stretcher, not to mention the countless times I had to re-nail the fence boards. They were carving out a fresh field. I asked them to look at my fence and correct it and they told me if anything was out of place they would fix it. A few days later they decided to put 4" poles into the ground and tack my fence to it and said they would be back before they were done. It's not as saggy as it was before they did that but the point is my fence never sagged before the work and it still sags. I reached out to their Superintendent who put me in touch with a dude named Ian. After 2 or 3 attempts to reach out Ian finally got back to me (the week before Thanksgiving 2018) and told me he would guarantee a call back the next week. The week I thought he was going to reach back I saw him across the fence and I asked if he was coming over to look at the fence and he snapped at me saying he made a promise and would make sure someone has reached out. That has yet to happen. I have reached out to their corporate office and they haven't reached back. My experience is this company completely lacks integrity. I have had 3 quotes done with an average of $3k per quote. The $3k is a drop in the bucket compared to the multi-million dollar project going on and JT Smith companies apparently does not give a flying F%ck... My advice, go find a contractor with integrity. If perhaps they still want to make things right I will be happy to remove this post.

Unfortunately, despite this company's mission to "become a provider of world-class service" our experience was exceptionally sub-par. Our leasing agent and liaison for renting a house often took several days to respond to email, did not provide a ton of information and told us a house had been rented AFTER we had signed a lease for a particular property. Further, we had to ask for pertinent information such as our pro-rated rent amount, how/when to pay our deposit, and other useful information that you would expect a rental company to provide. Instead of feeling excited about our potential move, we were left feeling anxious, unsure and less than confident in the company or our new house. We ended up not executing our lease, going so far as to lose some of our deposit because of it because we just didn't want to live in a property managed so poorly. Very unfortunate.
