I received a bill for services which had been paid in full by Medicare and a Supplement. The bill did not state just what the extra charge was for. When I called the billing number, it sounded like the person may have been in India. It did not instill confidence that the matter would be corrected. Hopefully it will, but patients should not have to deal with careless billing practices.

I also got a collection letter without ever having received a bill. For the record i have an excellent credit rating (above 800) and if i was aware i had a bill due i would have paid it. The collection letter did not reference what service was being billed either. I recommend people also report them to the better business bureau.
