David M. Sibell, M.D.

I did not have a pleasant experience with Dr. Sibell. He was rude and kept interrupting me when I tried to speak. I didn't feel that he made an effort to listen or understand my pain. Would not recommend this doctor at all.

I saw Dr. Sibell today for an ongoing issue that has altered my life. He was understanding, caring and very informative. Ive read all of the other reviews, dont believe them, he really was great! I am very thankful to have him as part of my medical team.

My first thoughts of Dr. Sibell was similar to some of the negative ones listed in medical reviews. I wanted to discuss my issues in detail, not considering that he had already studied my rather long chart. Like most pain patients, severe long term pain has made me more self centered - and chronic worry alters my dealings with doctors. Dr Sibell discussed a spinal cord stimulator, but had reservations. He said that if he did not think the benefits would outweigh the risks, he would not implant an SCS unit. I had a required follow with Dr. Tom Kern, the psychologist required for a stimulator trial. He encouraged me to go though the SCS trial. He also helped me become aware of the changes in my attitudes and personality from long term pain. I have now gone though the trial stimulator (a wonderful success ) and have a date set for the permanent implant surgery. Dr Sibell is compassionate, open and gentle, that much is evident from his relationship with his fellow staff. Surgery, spinal implants, ablations, and narcotics all come with tremendous risks. Dr Sibell considers the issues, discusses them with colleagues, then weighs the options carefully.
