I had had a disastrous time at Soft Touch Dentistry and the difference between that and my appointments at Sleep Dentistry is huge. From 1 star to 5. They are exceptionally nice, professional and talented at Sleep Dentistry. They are very kind to people who have a fear of dentists. I’m not overly fond of going to the dentist but who really wants to go? My brother had a terrible time finding a dentist who would be calm and good at their job. He found both and more at Sleep Dentistry. . From the first moment I had at the reception desk through my time with Dr. David and the wonderful assistants I was put at ease and felt confident that I would receive good care. And I did. I cannot recommend this office too strongly. They will put anyone at ease.

I love Sleep Denistry of Portland. Everyone there are so friendly . I had childhood trauma from dental care and have had anxiety all my adult life.regarding dental care. I did ok for awhile, but then the anxiety came back. I switched to Sleep denistry and being sedated to get some much need work done was like magic for me. I am happy to say that my last few checkups have been great thanks to them.

Had another dentist try to perform a root canal on my un-numb tooth. Long story short I ended up calling Sleep Dentistry of Portland. I was treated right away. Pain free, no tears. The dentist and staff are top notch!

I have never had a cavity. I have all of my wisdom teeth. I've never worn braces, headgear, or any other corrective dental apparatus. In fact, I have never had any sort of oral procedure, other than regular teeth cleanings, in my entire life. So when I was brushing my teeth last week, and felt an agonizing, knife-like pain in #30 (as the dentist would later refer to it), I stopped and took stock of things. I hadn't been in for a cleaning since The Before Times (pre-COVID, so we're taking 2019, here). It was time. And so help me God, if I had a cavity now, and my record ruined, I was not going to be happy. My life-long dentist had retired, so on the recommendation of my wife, I went to Sleep Dentistry this time around. She helped book my appointment and got me in a chair in less than seven days. She also recommended getting the nitrous, which sounded pretty great to me. I mean, if it's included, why not, right? Well, turns out I had nothing to worry about. After the always-excruciating process of dental x-rays, where one is forced to clamp their chompers down on a device that feels like the perverse love child of a tire iron and a Rubix Cube, the dentist, Dr. Arlauskus, informed me that my teeth were all healthy, no cavities were present, and that I had merely worn down the dentin on that tooth, which would regenerate naturally over time. Treat it gingerly, and let it heal. True enough, in the days leading up to my appointment, the pain during brushing on that spot had already stopped. Gonna give a shout out to Grace, my dental tech, who was chipper and knowledgeable, and clear in her directions and explanations of the process. While I did not have time to complete a cleaning that day (or receive any nitrous...bah!), she helped schedule me for one in a couple weeks. Also important to note is the current, COVID-compliant check-in process: roll up in your vehicle at your scheduled time, call the provided number, and they'll bring out any paperwork you may need to fill out. Once that is complete and turned in, they will call you back when it is time to enter, and off you go, into the dreaded chair! So yeah, for those of you not blessed with perfect teeth like me, be thankful that they have plenty of laughing gas on hand, in case you need it. And if you don't? Get it anyway. We can all use a good laugh these days, after last year!
