Home Services at The Home Depot

Unfortunately I bought a house right down the street so I go here more often than I'd like. The prices are usually good compared to better hardware stores, and they have virtually anything you would need, but they treat their employees poorly and the service suffers for this reason. People aren't usually very helpful, and somehow nearly every time I come here the exact isle I need to go down ends up gated off for 10 minutes while somebody bumbles around with a forklift and I wait patiently. They have a huge amount of turnover because of the bad treatment of employees and cut-throat wages, and basically new people getting trained by the next wave of quitters. To top it all off, Home Depot is pretty high on the evil corporation scale. The corporation itself is just plane evil so I try not to support them when it's reasonably avoidable.
