I could not be happier to have found Mokuti Medical Arts. I have Lupus SLE, overlapping autoimmune and injuries from a major car accident that, over the last two years, has disease nearly killed me and was the reason I had to leave my home and a job I loved. My recovery has been a slow and frustrating one, that is, until I found Stephen. I have worked with SEVERAL acupuncturists and Naturopaths (in addition to allopathic medicine) and I honestly have to say I have never experienced results like this. In relatively few treatments I have been able to cease the use of pain medicine and have been able to restart the process of rebuilding my life. One thing I need to mention is that I was very diligent in following the advice I was given at Mokuti. Stephen prescribed some herbs and taught me prescriptive exercises, which I do every day. He also helped me to identify some life style changes that were needed. Of course, I would think that the treatments would be effective regardless but I could not have seen this big a difference without hard work and the willingness to follow his advice. What I really appreciate about my treatment here is that every visit is different and is tailored to meet my needs, as a patient, that day and not what I was feeling the week prior. I was really impressed by the broad variety of modalities and techniques Stephen uses. His intimate understanding of core TCM and Medical Qigong principles enables him to treat the root cause of all my ailments and not focus on symptoms or tree the wrong squirrel, so to speak. His treatments are dynamic and effective, bottom line! He has helped with joint pain, hormone imbalance, digestion, energy level, sleep, brain fog and your run of the mill sore muscle. I will be a lifelong patient even after we have resolved/managed my acute condition. I love the treatment philosophy at Mokuti. Stephen is not only a healer but an excellent advisor giving me the tools I need to maintain the progress made during treatments. I feel that this will allow me to stay healthy and not just ‘take a break’ from the physical hell I was living through before. I feel empowered to heal myself and that shift has made all the difference to my emotional well-being. As someone who desperately needed help and felt I had tried EVERYTHING I am truly grateful for Mokuti Medical Arts.
