This mortgage company has little to no regard for its customers. Weve never had a late payment, until we tried to pay off our mortgage. We sent them a check for the payoff amount, then a couple of weeks later we get an email stating that any amount over 15k has to be a cashiers check. I contact them and they state that theyve mailed the check back to me, well, it takes a week or two for me to receive the check. I wasnt going to mail another check before I got that check back. The very next day after receiving the initial check, we had the cashiers check in the mail. We recently checked our credit scores ,only to find out we had a late payment, dropping my credit score some 160 points. Seems they couldve and shouldve been able to handle this without reporting a late payment. No personal touch at Gateway, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere . There are definitely lenders more deserving and worthy of your business.

We used Gateway to refi our rental property. Reagan was amazing! The entire process from start to finish was so simple. She kept us informed with each step along the way and even got an earlier closing date for us. Thank you Gateway and Reagan!

I had been trying for several weeks to get a loan approval from TTCU. I had already had one so I thought it would be simple. It was terrible. Then I found the house I wanted so I asked my realtor if she knew of a good mortgage lender. She got me in touch with Reagan Ford at Gateway. Reagan went way above and beyond to help me in every way through the process. She made sure everything was done in a timely manner and we were able to close even sooner than expected. I was sent neat little videos regularly explaining where we were in the process every step of the way.

This company is horrible! Lost paperwork and information that I sent them while trying to buy a house and would not communicate with each other at all. Their underwriting department is the WORST and Carla that works in underwriting obviously has no idea how to do her job correctly. Sandy was completely disorganized and was really bad at communicating with me and the realtor. It was a horrible experience and Im almost glad that they screwed things up so badly that we didnt close on the house because I wouldnt want to be stuck with these people for the duration of my mortgage.
