Ive lived at oak creek since January! I don’t quite understand the other reviews regarding unhelpful staff. The staff here would be the thing I could rave about most! They’re always so kind, welcoming, helpful and have great communication skills. You can even text the front desk which had been more helpful than you’d think! Maintenance always fills my request day of or early the next day. I will agree with other reviews that you can easily hear people above you, but Ive found the same issue even in newer homes and apartments. To an extent, I believe it’s a rather inevitable when living in an apartment complex. I love the dog park and garden and gym. I feel landscaping and cleaners do an amazing job on the grounds. Good cabinetry and storage, along with granite and newer flooring updates, yes the doors and some of the lights could’ve been updated, but they function just fine so I don’t see any harm. Some may think the pricing is high, but you have to remember how good of a location this is and the school district it’s within. That explains the pricing and I think it’s fair for the service we’ve received and the updates throughout. My only complaint is security on the grounds. A few months in my car was vandalized and I was warned by neighbors. They do have a patroller at night, but it can only do so much. Apparently cameras aren’t allowed due to privacy reasons, but I feel there must be something more that could be done. It cost me several hundred to repair and police said it’s common. However I felt for what the front desk staff could do, they cooperated with authorities well and truly did all I felt was within their hands to help me. Joe and the team are pleasures to have operating this complex!

I've lived here for over 2 years and it's not the worst place, but I'm planning to move out ASAP. They do fun community things every once in a while like give out free ice cream or pizza and that's pretty cool I guess.
But there is absolutely zero concern for resident safety and security here. No security cameras, no gated access, nothing. If you move here, expect to be robbed eventually, and don't expect any help from staff about it. They openly admit that there are no plans to increase security.
When I moved in I assumed there was some basic security in place. Only after the catalytic converter was stolen from my car in the parking lot did I find out there are no cameras anywhere. There are some garages for rent, but good luck getting one.
Beware of this place.

After living at Oak Creek at Polaris for a year, for the price of a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment, I'm not impressed.
While the apartments themselves are fine, and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the maintenance crew and front desk team, I did have several issues that were very disappointing during my time at Oak Creek:
- Little to no insulation between floors. I was in an upstairs unit and could hear almost every conversation, sneeze, laughter, snore and cry of my neighbors and their children. Loud bass carried through the apartment almost constantly and was very distracting while trying to work from home. This is after many calls to the front desk, conversations with neighbors, etc.
This was my 7th apartment/shared living space and for reference, this apartment was louder than a college dorm.
If you work from home, or need a decent night's sleep, please avoid at all costs.
- Lack of grounds care with Snow Removal/Deicing. While I'm fully understanding that there is only so much that can be done in the way of snow removal and deicing in an Ohio winter, I frequently found the stairs to be very slippery and unsafe. I would especially be cautious if you had young children or elderly visiting your apartment.
- Some outdated portions of the Apartment / Cheap repairs.
The doors to my laundry appliances were very dated, and required maintenance to come out several times to repair.
Carpet frayed very quickly, flooring chipped easily after repair team fixed doors, the list goes on.
- Finally, quality of the community and neighbors. Residents near me frequently left out garbage bags and personal belongings in front of their unit blocking the path, smoking outside of their doors on the balcony so that the smell of cigarettes would want into your apartment, or finally letting their dog defecate in their unit so that the smell would waft into and around all other units (thankfully this only happened once).
Overall, very disappointed in this community and very happy to be out. Loved the staff and all they did, but I cannot recommend this as a place to live.

I wanted to write this review to give an honest, candid, detailed, and thoughtful perspective of longterm renters because, as we have been looking for a new place to fit our new needs, we have reflected on our time here and wish we could find reviews like this on the properties we are looking at. We have loved living here for the past year-and-a-half and we are really sad to go at the end of our lease. We live in a one bedroom upstairs unit and have literally never had a problem that wasn't addressed and fixed right away. Our dryer was clogged, they came the same day and cleaned it out. Our carpet was fraying on the edge of the hard floors, they sent people to put in a thicker transition strip right away. Our water heater leaked, they sent someone within the hour with a new unit.
The windows and doors are never drafty and provide good energy-efficient insulation, the appliances have never given us issues, the IOTAS smart-home system is so great (we are bummed that we will have to turn off the lights ourselves in the future hah!). All of our neighbors are great and we honestly never hear them, except in the breezeway. I can't speak for the two bedroom units, I imagine there might be some more noise because of children and such living in those units, but a peaceful and quiet living experience is of top priority to us and we have be quite pleased being here.
Fun community events also sweeten the deal of Oak Creek at Polaris. Free Jeni's, gift card giveaways, never ending free Starbucks coffee in the clubhouse! Additionally, the office staff has rotated some in our time here, but every single employee has been professional, kind, warm, and helpful! We have noticed at other places we have toured in our recent search that we have been spoiled with our Oak Creek staff experience. They also have a sherif patrol the area regularly to ensure safety measures are intact, but we have never witnessed any crime occurring.
The only negative things I could say are that the floors are cheap. Obviously, they are not real hardwood wide planks, like everyone loves nowadays. It is apartment grade and they seem to be a little flimsy, but it really is not a big deal and is something barely noticeable. Also, there is not a ton of storage in the one bed units. We have acquired stuff over the years, like holiday decorations and such, that we mostly keep under our bed because there are not many options for storage. One more tiny complaint is that in the winter when we had heavy snow and ice, we felt the parking lots and drive could have been taken care of better, like the grounds crew could have cleared spots as cars left so there were not drifts and patches of ice behind and around the parking spots. But again, it was a temporary annoyance that was not imperative to the living experience and we were fine.
All in all, you can't beat the location and it has been a 10/10 experience that we have recommended to many friends and family that have moved to the area. Super glad to have been here and it has set some high standards of living for our next place!
