Im so sad to see the poor reviews. My experience has been outstanding and the complete opposite.
Every time I go in Im greeted warmly and helped to the best of their ability. Theyre great with my kids too. And, what great rates! Being a customer of Third Federal has dramatically helped my family reach our financial goals.
I love that its a local bank where Im treated like a person. We left a big bank entrenched in national scandal. Didnt like our money being given to an immoral business. But at Third Federal we feel like family and when I walk in, they know us. Were neighborly. Thats very difficult to come by these days.

Awful customer service mayfield Hts location two ladies waited on me on separate occasion lady with glasses seem like she has no interest in her customer totally offstandish and another occasion the other teller next to her was the same I am closing the CD there but so afraid to go there that Im looking to go to another location they are awful and rude. Oh and how funny I heard her greeting nicely to the next customer. Do not go here.

DO NOT use third federal.  Very UNPROFESSIONAL and INCOMPETENT.  We could have gone with many lenders but we chose third federal...worst decision and it will now cost us thousands $$.  We locked in a 3.5% with them for a new build.  They approved everything.  Then dragged their feet for 2 months on the appraisal.  Then in underwriting they found that one of the HOAs associated w/our HOA is under litigation for a roofing issue (not our HOA mind you).  No other lender has an issue with this except third federal because it's not even our HOA.  Now 2 months after starting the process third federal says they can't find the loan.  Now we're screwed out of our rate we could've locked in with someone else at the time.  Now we're scrambling to find a new lender with interest rates much higher at 5.5%.  Also, not even a phone call apologizing...just a "sorry your loans been declined" email.  Never again will we use third federal.

The people are nice but I've ran into a couple times where their system(s) were down and it was pretty inconvenient. Maybe I'm just unlucky but it happened more than once so whatever that's why I'm only going 3 stars because having access to my money and banking services is important to me.
