I've been with Allstate for over nine years and have worn many hats in the company. My tenure and experience has allowed me to not only understand the ins-and-outs of insurance, but also to service hundreds of families regarding their protection needs. image What I want out of an insurance company in this era is two things: a transparent, lucid digital presence and a feeling of reissuance in my agent. Allstate does tick all the overt boxes - home, car, even catastrophe - so I have confidence in the policy as a whole, but for lack of interpersonal interaction, I have less surety that my experience would be as well founded if I ever needed to exercise a claim. Allstate's digital presence feels covert and somewhat opaque, and - from the perspective of a digital design professional of 42 years - difficult to navigate. It didn't do much to inspire my trust - is Allstate hiding things from me by design?
Lets face it - insurance legalese is inscrutable to an average policy holder, seldom breaks in the holder's favor, and the only succor to be had needs to come from an expert agent. My experience has been one of little interaction with my agent, and - although I have every confidence that my agent would be there for me if needed - it's important to me from a trust perspective to establish a solid foundation with the frontsperson before I have the need to establish a claim.
So far, I've been both careful and lucky, so I can't comment on Allstate from the perspective of a claiment - undoubtedly I could add much to this report if that were the case. That leaves me left with finding out the hard way as pretty much the only way of finding out.

They really treat you like a person and not a number, I never dread when I have to call into the office to make a change or something. They always treat you well and handle everything very professionally.
