I am disappointed in recent events at Ayden. The facility has been without cable for three weeks. Patients like my mom, who can no longer read or do crafts/activities, and cannot leave her room or have visitors, rely on television not only for entertainment, but for contact with the outside world.
Despite my several inquiries, no one can seem to give me a straight answer about the problem. Have heard from several folks that it seems Ayden has failed to pay their Spectrum bill.
After two weeks of no one fixing the issue, we took our own Roku box to my mom so she can stream content with the aides’ help.
They likely have better things to do than surf channels to find movies for her, but here we are.
Frustrated does not begin to describe my feeling; it is of course infinitely worse for my mother, who feels worried about putting them out if she asks for too much help - but whose other choice is to lose her mind from watching the paint on the walls all day.

The TV is off I don't know if they pay their bill or not but it's been off for over a week, the nurse's assistant don't answer the lights in a timely manner, they don't set people up to eat their food they let them slouch in the bed, my mother has bed sores and keep getting them after one heals she has another,so the people that's giving a good review are lying the nursing home should be ashamed of themselves for letting the nursing home be so neglectable.

My mother has been a resident here for several years. She is receiving thoughtful and personal care. The staff each have their own relationships with her and know her individually. Miss Gail at the front desk is the most amazing ambassador - both a fairy godmother to the residents, as well as a great comforter and liaison to the family members. We are lucky to have formed this vital relationship. The administrators and medical professionals have done a great job of keeping her safe and healthy during the pandemic - and the terrible isolation it's brought with it. We have been very glad to have my mom in Ayden during this extra stressful time for vulnerable persons like her.
