I was referred to Freedom Insurance from another insurance company for a non-owner policy. I live alone and work from home. My old car died and my lifestyle doesn't call for another car. However, I still wanted the liability coverage just in case I ever found myself having to drive and wound up hurting someone in an accident. The lady who picked up was right away stand offish but I didn't think much of it until she started laughing and snorting sarcastically. Even then, I ignored her attitude and continued asking questions to educate myself. She told me that, (Insert sarcastic snort) a non-owner policy was only if I was waiting for a driver's license, and that I couldn't get insurance without a car (insert sarcastic snort). I believed her... until I googled to further educate myself. I then continued calling other insurance companies and every rep I spoke to after her was kind and helpful to get me where I needed to be. And after talking to some more experienced reps, I learned that this lady was confused with an SR-22. I try to support small, local businesses and I don't mind when someone tries to educate me. I also don't judge if they themselves are not fully educated on the matter because everything in life is a learning process. We're all just doing.our best to struggle through life. But the sarcastic laughing and snorting and undertone really, really turned me off. Especially when my money, as a customer, funds her paycheck. If this economy has taught me anything, it's that life is too expensive to give your money to someone who doesnt appreciate it. If it wasn't for the attitude, this review wouldn't have been written. Maybe it's just the lady I spoke to, and maybe she's a bad representation of Freedom, or maybe my situation has just never been heard of by Freedom Insurance, but I don't recommend them.
