We requested a quote from CertaPro to paint the outside only of a stained wooden front door, 3ftx8ft. Elliot was my contact. The appointment was at 10am on a Tuesday. At 9:30am he calls me saying that hes still in Burlington (were in Greensboro), and that all his projects except ours are in Burlington and he also lives there, so would it be okay if I just texted him a picture of the door and hed send a quote the same day. This was fine because its a simple project, so I sent this info right away. He promised a quote same day- Tuesday, but it never arrived. This is not a big deal so far, however the next morning I text him back about the quote, asking if it would come that day. The first problem is he gives me the line that he sent it but hell resend, maybe it went into my spam folder. We all know what this means- he had just not sent it yet (and of course Id already checked my spam). Its not a big deal, but we were concerned that he didnt just say he hadnt gotten to it yet. So he texts that hell go to the office at noon and resend it then and text me to confirm. Of course the day goes by and still no quote, no text. After 6pm, I just text and say it seems clear our project is too small for CertaPro to want to take on, so well look elsewhere. An hour or so after sending, he does text back and has attached the quote. Here is where the other issue comes in. CertaPro has a deal with Sherwin-Williams. However, we wanted to use Behr paint for the door. He sends me one quote for $575 using SW paint, and another quote for $675 if we use Behr. The issue here is that wed already priced the top line Behr outdoor paint and it didnt cost $100. So that doesnt really add up. Ill also say that although we want to do this project asap, we could have waited a few days on the quote, but he offered up that timeline and then didnt commit. On a final funny note, he mentioned in the quote it was good to meet me even though he didnt come to the appointment so we never met. I know there are many people who have used CertaPro and have been happy, but as I think about it, it seems to have always been larger, whole-house projects. If they dont have the time or arent willing to do smaller projects, they should just say so.

Chris and his team were awesome. They were so easy to work with, friendly, and checked in every day to see if I had any questions. Very professional and neat. Outstanding painting job! We will definitely use them again for our next painting project.

Elliot Cole got us a great price to remove the popcorn ceilings from our home. Chris and his team did a wonderful job and sent us pictures and videos of the process, each day. Our house looks 20 years younger without the popcorn, a new skim coat, and fresh paint. I would definitely have this team come back and do more work for us! Highly recommend.
