      image The hotel was undergoing upgrades. The staff was courteous. Our room should not have been booked. Comfortable beds though.

      image The one star I give this place is a testament to the wonderful and welcoming staff at the front desk. They made up for this shabby and well-worn establishment. The ice maker on our floor (4th) was out of order and ice was only available on the first floor. The bathroom had an old tub, and cracked caulking. The bedroom floor sported giant red stains (I assume spilled ink) and stains on the bed spreads although the beds themselves were extremely comfortable. The thing that bothered us most about this hotel experience was the smell of cigarettes throughout the lobby, hallways and our room despite the "No Smoking On the Premises" signs visible everywhere in the building. We arrive too late in the evening to find another place to stay so we stayed and we checked out by 7:30 the next morning.
