I have never had a child in this facility, BUT I did call to inquire and the lady who answers the phone is very rude and has a BLATANT attitude. I could not imagine interacting with her daily as I dropped off my child and picked him up. So my review is on customer service as someone who was interested in enrolling my son. I will not be adding myself to the waiting list just based off of this phone conversation.

I had my twins at Smartkids for three years and I couldn’t have entrusted their care to a more wonderful group of teachers/staff. My kids are now in kindergarten and still talk about Smartkids and ‘when they were babies’. Thanks to Mrs. Wanda, Mrs. Racheal, Mrs. Ella, Mrs. Judy, Mrs. Minnie, Ms Tootie, Mrs Becca, Mrs. Chelsea and all the other staff that have given my children such wonderful memories!!

The woman who runs this place is incredibly rude. The first time I visited this place, I was six-seven months pregnant. She was very standoffish, acted very hurried, and did not shake my hand, look me in the eye, or offer me a seat. She did not offer me a tour, saying that everything would be different by the time my daughter would be possibly enrolled there (approx. six months from that time). Ok, I get it, they’re busy and renovating. She put me on the waiting list. I tried to call six months later to inquire about my spot on the waiting list because it was now time for my daughter to start somewhere. Was told I would get a call back, I did not receive one, I called again and could not get through. I ended up choosing other childcare, and two weeks later I get a voicemail asking if I’m still interested. The childcare I had fell through for different reasons, and this place is so close to my house, and I had family pressuring me to check into them again even though I had bad feelings from the first visit when I was still pregnant. I called again and got through, but the phone was making static noises and the lady said she would call me right back on a different phone. She NEVER called me back. Just cut me off mid conversation and said she would call back and never did. I tried calling a different day and explained what had happened on the call and she acted like she didn’t remember a thing about the call or her saying she would call me right back or anything. I then went up there to visit, she flipped through the waiting list and found my name, said she would call me the next day with availability info, and said she could not give me a tour because they were closing early due to potential inclement weather (they were closing two hours from the time I was there, but there was no time to give me a tour apparently). So she did not call me back the next day, which was a Friday, and I called her back on Monday explaining that she had said she would call me back on Friday but hadn’t. She said “I don’t call back if there’s no availabilities”. I reiterated that she was the one that said she would call me back the next day. (So, maybe don’t say you’re going to call back if you’re not). She ended the call saying she would call if there were any spots. No thank you, ma’am, I will take my $216 a week elsewhere. This woman has been consistently and repeatedly rude over a course of multiple occasions, over the phone and in person, and I knew I had a bad feeling from the first meeting and should have followed my instincts. She paints a picture for the whole establishment, and there may be some wonderful and caring people there who will take amazing care of mine or your children, but this woman completely ruins that potential with her sorry attitude. They need a nicer person running that place, or at least a nicer person giving tours, taking names for waitlists, calling people, etc.
