Beware. Rent increases are disproportionate. Units are turned over with mold, pet stains, broken appliances, broken and leaking HVAC units. Inspect HVAC appliances, dishwasher during your tour. 1) See photos of my unit on move in date. I was charged first months rent and deposit in advance to find the unit in conditions attached. No professional cleaning performed, and maintenance cleaned the unit leaking bleach on the carpet. 2) From move in in January 2022 to March 2022, dishwasher was broken with door not being able to close due to broken latch. This took 3 months to fix, and a NC DOJ complaint to remediate. 3) End of March 2022 to August 2022, HVAC was broken and leaking. Due to this AC did not go below 78 degrees and could not cool the apartment. Solution from management was a plastic bucket and window positioned AC unit (violating propertys own residents handbook). My 69 year old, cancer surviving mother could not use the bathroom properly. 4) No maintenance of breezeways at any point, despite their valet trash service dragging tenants trash, leaving stains Sunday to Thursday. In addition, the valet personnel examines tenants postal packages. See videos. Leasing office is maintained daily and has a dedicated cleaning person, but no maintenance for tenants and their common areas. Due to raising these concerns, and asking how the $60,000 the property collets annually is allocated, the management told me via email they will not extend my lease, offering me to leave early, not saying penalties will not be charged. 5) Mold is present in all units. Read other user experiences. I conducted a mold inspection out of pocket due to my cats wheezing. The inspection confirmed high presence of clodosporium spores, and according to the inspector, is an EPA concern. Report was sent to management on 12/23, after which they mailed a letter of non renewal, sent prior to my 60 day notice (1/19). No attempt at remediation from management made. Per the regional director of this multi-million dollar company that type of mold is commonplace and harmless. They do not mention this on their website as part of the luxury experience. 6) The community is not in a wooded area, and a new community is being built next door, with construction Monday-Saturday for the foreseeable future. See photo. 7) Coyotes abound around the property and the issue is not addressed. 8) Toxic emissions from local paper mill factory reach the area all the time, and management does not warn their tenants. 9)Rent prices do not reflect market conditions. You can get a townhome, with utilities included for $1900+ this property charges for a two bedroom unit. Other tenants (perspective) state their leases were canceled , only to see their unit put on the market for $300 more. 10) Management uses false pretense to come into tenants units, with unverified vendors. After 3 years of no inspection, they sent an email that a sprinkler inspection is mandatory by Mecklenburg county. This is false, and Mecklenburg county requirements apply only to common areas.

If you are thinking of turning Bexley Apartments into your new home BEWARE! Pray you don't have problems like I did, they will do anything to make you pay for something that is not your fault. I live on the ground floor and last December 24th we had a problem with a leak on the third floor. The apartment was flooded, the master bedroom carpet was soaked and the bathroom ceiling was filled with water bubbles. In addition to the condominium administration not repairing the damage, they are asking for 30 days of paid rent if I want to leave the property. The bathroom and bedroom are already moldy and the only thing they did was dry the carpet with a fan. My son has respiratory problems and we presented a letter from the doctor requesting our urgent departure for health reasons and the administration did not accept it.

I've lived here at Bexley Crossing At Providence for almost 5 years now and many different Bexley's before. I have had many positive experiences throughout the years of living here! I'm looking forward to another year at this location. I've always felt safe and happy with a lot of restaurants and stores nearby to visit in a 5-10 minute driving distance which is very convenient for me. I would like to give a call out to Ashlie for her helpfulness during re-leasing. What I really like about Ashlie as a leasing agent is her honesty, transparency and work ethic in what to expect during these difficult times for re-leasing for another year. This is the way it should be, no playing games or running around in circles. She made my experience very easy! I spoke to her last Saturday (10/22/22) in person, she discussed everything with me and told me I would hear from her this week at some point. I heard from her yesterday (10/24/22) with positive news. Again, she facilitated everything with ease and provided me a great resolution without having to keep chasing for answers or updates. This is exceptional customer service at work folks! Leasing agents in general should look up to Ashlie as a prime example of what to do to become successful in this line of work. Thanks again Ashlie! I did hear from Beth and Nicole and they are both nice people as well!
