If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They will over charge you every single month while you’re living there. Also make sure to take pictures and document EVERYTHING. They accuse you of things that are not even your fault and will try to charge you extra fees when moving out. The so called “parking passes” are misplaced they will try to charge $80 for something that was turned in when we moved out. They did this to and my roommates. PLEASE BEWARE. Management is horrible and take no accountability won’t answer calls or emails. Find a nicer place because eventually you end up paying a similar price to other apartments in the area without all the ridiculous fees.

Worst place I have ever lived. Just remembered how awful this place was this morning and had to make sure they know that even 5 years later I have never been to or lived anywhere worse than the edge

Definitely deserves zero stars. The roommates I’m dealing with is a complete nightmare, unfortunately I will have to deal with this the whole fall semester at UNCC! They invite friends over at 11pm (ALMOST EVERY NIGHT & EVEN THE DAY) playing loud music, drinking (taking shots until they vomit) & not to mention, their dramatic loud talking & yelling. Paper thin walls do not help the situation at all! …The list you first fill out to “find the right roommate” is a 100 % a lie, it’s completely opposite than what I prefer as a roommate. I just finished my first week of classes at UNCC & I can already tell this will be a living HELL in this apartment… Please do not choose to live or stay here… EVER.

If there was a zero star option, that's what I would give my experience living at this place. My first few months went pretty well, however right off the bat I realized that the walls are literally paper thin and you can hear almost every conversation that goes on in the apartment. My apartment smelled of cigarettes, even after deep cleaning the walls, and my clothes literally smelled of cigarettes all the time because of this place. After a few months, my roommates and I started getting overcharged for utilities, even for months that my roommates and I were barely even at the apartment. Looking back at my bills from The Edge, I have come to realize that I literally got overcharged every. single. month. for utilities, and when we asked them why we were getting charged, they could never give us an answer. Rent checks of mine were not going through for months, and after trying to communicate with the office, I was getting no responses. After talking to corporate, I came to find out that the bookkeeper they were trying to get me to get in contact with did not even exist. There has been mold growing in the laundry closet for months, and the AC was dripping water continuously, and after multiple maintenance requests, it was still ignored. Water used to drip like a faucet from the ceiling in our kitchen, where this problem was finally fixed after months and months. The hole that the maintenance workers left to fix this problem still remains, bringing in all kinds of bugs and such, and when we requested for them to come fix it, they ignored it as well. Not to mention, the pool was closed almost the entirety of my year-long stay at the Edge, and it is the only amenity that they advertise. Truly disappointing.
