I have seen Dr. Chmielewski twice and each time I become more comfortable. He takes time with me . He explains test results so I can understand them. He looked over my list of supplements and suggested we spend time reviewing them. He has a calm demeanor. The office certainly isn't new or decorated as though a millionaire worked there BUT it is efficient, has a caring staff and is comfortable. I was looking for a doc who hears me, listens to my concerns and doesn't sit with his back to me while typing notes on a key board.

This physician is one of the many horrific physicians in Oneida County and all of Upstate New York. This many pretends to be an "Osteopathic" Dr. but refused to do specific effective osteopathic techniques in treatment. I have a connective tissue disorder that no one in our area can treat. So I went to a specialist: physical therapist who is also trained in some Osteopathic methods who wrote a successful book on how to treat it and has treated thousands successfully. He videos what he does for each out or state patient because he is in Rhode Island; and has patients take the videos back to see someone in their home area and state who is willing to work with them in these very effective techniques that literally helped me to function again after major surgery. Our area is the only area where no one is willing to learn, due to ego; ignorance and lazziness. I showed him my videos and they are simple muscle energy techniques and myofacial release that he could he could easily do or follow the instructions. I told him how I suffered prior to meeting my surgeon and my pt. I explained how important it was to be able to get this treatment. He refused to help me and he was told me he would do it his way or that I should go back to Rhode Island. I told him many times I work here and I just returned to work after three years leave and three Neurosurgeries. This man had zero compassion for what I had been through to find out my diagnosis and get effective treatment! I tried to tell him I really need someone to treat me as I can't regularly go to Rhode Island. He flat out refused to even look at more than one treatment video and had no problem sending me out the door with no help. This is due to laziness, ego; and ignorance as well as lack or empathy. He is a con artist who lies about his abilities in order to get people in the door. I am not sure. I know that if I met someone in need and I was given to tools to help them; I would help them to the best of my ability. The man is a quack with no heart who lies to people all the time. His advertisement is misleading and he isn't willing to actually help!

I was given an appointment, arrived and was refused treatment unless I paid $200 cash. Staff was concerned over an appealed workers' compensation claim despite my carrier approving treatment. In fact the carrier chose this physician as my primary care.
The doctor's only concern is money and the staff did not do their job, but waited until I traveled to and from the doctor's office in excruciating pain to inform me of their subjective denial.
The doctor instructed me to obtain a signed letter from the provider to which he subscribes and of which he is a documented "in plan" provider. His office staff is paid to perform the task, yet I complied because I was desperate and in pain. While on the phone with my health insurance carrier this doctor admonished me to keep quiet.
My guess is he doesn't want the public to know his treatement and lack thereof, and his bedside manner is at odds with the statement posted to the right of Faxton's front door affirming a good doctor's qualities.
