I have been here a few times and never had the pleasure, actual massive  displeasure of encountering the male owner. They are very deferential and pleasant to male customers, but to females it's a completely different story. He wanted to take all my simple dry cleaning but wanted me to come back during the hours the tailor is in just to pin a simple item, I took the whole lot and said forget it...will try the other thousand dry cleaners in Smithtown, Hauppauge. Unreal!!

So I brought in a down puffer jacket that was pretty new but the zipper had broken. I decided to go to Aidas as their Google reviews are stellar. When I was dropping it off, the owner asked would you like it DRY CLEANED also? I figured might as well. So I was charged the price for dry cleaning. When I picked up the jacket it didnt appear all that clean and there were small pieces of down feather and feathers all over the inside of the jacket and a significant amount on the outside. I check the tag inside the jacket and it says DO NOT dry clean. I was going to just let it go and wear tge jacket anyway. However, by the 4th day of wearing it, the situation with the feathers leaking out of the jacket was not improving and I was getting tired of trying to get the lint it was getting on my sweaters. I cant carry a lint brush everywhere I go. Lol
I brought the jacket back and told the owner about the situation. Oh well we didnt dry clean it! We put it in the washing machine! was the response she gave me. Wonderful! She charged me $25 for a service I could have done myself at home! To make matters worse she notices a gaping hole where the zipper was put in! So the seamstress did a hack job on top of it all! I have to go back again to pick it up.. well see how it comes out.
After I left I thought about it and felt like I should get a refund for the dry cleaning. I called and the owner said Ill give you your money back!!! And abruptly hung up without saying bye! Nice!
Needless to say I will not be coming back here after I get my coat back ! Service: Clothing alterations & repairs
