I've been TurboTax-ing for years now, but my accounts have been pretty straightforward, so filing isn't badHowever 2020 was a doozy. Not only did the pandemic happen, but I also bought a house and got married. So with filing taxes jointly and also with the new mortgage, I wanted it done correctly.Jason DeLaurentiis came recommended by a friend. He was pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. He made my wife and I feel at ease. He also discussed strategies to maximize tax deductions.Even though the service is more expensive than TurboTax, having the peace of mind of an actual CPA looking over my numbers was worth it.The tax savings he provided me by reminding me that I could still retroactively contribute to my HSA in 2020, easily made up for the extra filing costsIn addition, Jason seems like an expert when it come to business consulting, acquisition and transition. So that may come in handy in the future.

I have been in Business for 20 years and have had poor experiences with all the accountants that I have had. I have finally found the accountant that I always needed. My accountant is Jason DiLaurentiis, he is professional, knowledgable, experienced and very patient in explaining things so that I may understand. He is also very acssesible if I have any questions or concerns.
I am very happy with the services provided to me at this firm. I finally found a great accountant!!

Jason d., a cpa at demott and smith requested my social security number for taxes from a trust that he is apparently working on. I do not know him from Adam and asked questions about EXACTLY what he needed my ssn for. He was extremely rude and acted as though I had no right to be inquiring about this. Unprofessional at best, people DO not give out their ssn's when they do not know why...Really...put yourself in my shoes Jason. Maybe you should brush up on your people skills and become a bit more professional Or get out of the business that deals with people......
