Oakwood property and service remains to uphold its standard and quality. Our key contact was Axel Fischer who has been very responsive and accommodating to the changes in our schedule. He made sure that our requests were attended to. Our check-in process was very efficient and we very much enjoyed our stay there. The location was great and the amenities in the suite were well-stocked. We understand that Oakwood at Sixth Avenue will be discontinued but Axel has already shown us the other property at Midtown which we will definitely consider when we next visit New York City. We have nothing but good things to say about our experience at Oakwood and we look forward to our next Oakwood stay in the not too distant future.

The cleanliness of the apartment was impeccable. All details for daily living were provided. There was always security at the front desk. Axel was extremely responsive to any problem that arose and dealt with it immediately. We were staying in Manhattan during the floods from Ida. A leaking ceiling in the middle of the night required some creative thinking. Axel and Adrian found a dry place for us to sleep. Thanks to these guys for taking such good care of us.

All interactions with management were very quickly responded and very efficiently and friendly resolved. The suites are nicely equipped, including a full range kitchen that really allows to cook something during longer stays. Also the bathrooms are really nice with all installations being high-end and new. So overall, the place really allows you to stay a longer period without having to give up too much of the comfort being used to from home.

I visited several nearby hotels and long-term properties before selecting Oakwood. The reason for selecting was the attentive response by the manager Axel Fischer to all of my questions and concerns. Since I was staying for medical reasons, timing and efficiency were extremely important to me. Everyone at this site (Axel, maintenance staff, front door team) was extremely professional, helpful, and kind – making me feel safe, welcomed, and always appreciated. All of my visitors continually remarked at the nice welcoming greetings from the front desk they received at each visit. My sincere appreciation to everyone at Oakwood at Sixth Avenue for their hospitality and great work ethic.
