I really dont understand all the hate in the reviews for this hotel. The lobby is beautiful, vibrant, and gives luxury vibes. The rooms are small but it is an older hotel, the bathrooms are small as well but theyre so charming. The location couldnt be better. Everyone we have dealt with at the hotel has been extremely accommodating. We needed an accessible room for a disabled relative traveling with us. They didnt have one available in the first day but on the second day they upgraded us to a much larger accessible room and provided complimentary breakfast. We were also provided free drink tickets for having to wait in a long check-in line, even though it wasnt actually that long and we didnt mind. We stayed for St Patricks day weekend and they had an Irish trad band in the lobby, so festive! Because its an older hotel, they still have windows that you can open and let in a breeze. I will be staying here again for sure, everyone we have encountered has been wonderful.
Nearby activities: The location was only a few blocks from Rockefeller center and the st Patricks parade on 5th ave. Only a mile from Central Park, easily walkable. My favorite place Ive stayed in NYC so far.
Noteworthy details: The lobby was so cute, and up on the second floor there were lots of intimate places to sit, read a book, relax.
