I placed an order and it was ready within 30 minutes, which I was pleasantly surprised about since it's so close to Valentine's Day. The flowers are fresh and beautiful and my partner LOVES them.

I went to the store at noon on Valentine's day, hoping to make an order and pick up later in the afternoon. I specified that I want white and red roses and 2-3 dozens in a vase, the lady in the store said they dont have enough red ones, and picked three pre-made dozens, which include white, light pink and red roses, and showed me a large vase. After learning that the price of a dozen is $80, I asked if I could only use 2 dozen and a smaller vase, and she said the smaller vase cannot hold two dozens. I was in a hurry so I made the payment and left.
In the afternoon, I came to the store at the agreed time, but waited for another 20 mins before I see my order, which makes me believe they didnt start to prepare until I showed up. During the wait, I also saw they still have plenty of red roses in display. After I saw my order, I found out that was not the two dozens I saw in the morning, since they were including many orange and dark pink roses in it, and I dont like the colors. What made it worse is that they put many many green leaves in order to fill in the spaces in the large vase! Nothing was as promised: the lady told me they didnt have enough red roses, but there were plenty when I arrived to pick up; the roses in the vase was not the ones I saw when I made the order and are comprised of colors I dont like; they insist that the smaller vase doesnt work, and had to later conceal their lies with green leaves to fill in the empty spaces in the large vase.
They didnt give me chance to argue and turn to other costumers, and because of the additional wait I was running out of time. The experience is really disastrous and I wasted $212 on extremely unprofessional and careless service. I understand that people charge $80 for a dozen on Valentines day, but at least I expect a careful treatment, instead of caring only about money and messing everything up. I would strongly recommend you to find a responsible place to order the flowers. Dont let this store run your anniversaries.

This place deserves better reviews and score. I buy a lot of flowers (as it's customary in places I grew up to bring to teachers, shows, friends you see perform or visit) and this place is clearly above local competition like convenience store and supermarket (okay that's low bar but the difference is noticeable). Go to plantshed at 96th street the day you need a bit more choice, or take line 1 to 28th street and the world of flowers is at your feet, but otherwise stick with Valli. It's good. It has good hours and decent price. The selected flowers they have stay for a while and it works. Everything else except the two options I shared are frustrating in retrospect. Note also that the quality recently improved under a new owner (which is rare enough that it deserves a mention!!!), I cannot guarantee their delivery service I did not use but I would assume it's at least good because the service in the shop was always impeccable.
