The negative reviews I had read about this business made me very hesitant about contacting them but I did it anyway because I needed to buy spare part. To my great surprise I was told that they no longer sell their products directly, but nevertheless, they provided me with the part number and referred me to one of their distributors. I was happy overall with their professional manners and sincere desire to help.

Fontana Arte has the worst customer service. They're hard to reach, rude and not helpful. I purchased 3 Bonnet sconces from Fontana Arte, they are beautiful LED lamps, the LED's are custom made for the lamp. I asked the sales person how long the LED would last, he said "15 years". 2 and a half years later one of the lamps failed, when I asked the store representative if they could fix it, they said "no", it was out of warranty and they could only sell me a new lamp. They said the reason the lamp failed is that I was probably using the wrong dimmer. When I asked him what dimmer I should use because I have 2 more of the same lamp and I don't want them to break too, he refused to tell me, got angry and hung up the phone on me. I don't think the problem is with the dimmer. I believe they designed a bad product and don't want to be responsible for it. Don't buy a product from this company.

The worst, I inquired about a lamp that cost about 1000 dollars and the salesperson was so rude to the point that staying in the store for more than a second became unbearable. An abominable atmosphere with repressed aggressiveness, this is the worst Fontata Arte store.

What a pity! Today I discovered that this great source of sophisticated Italian lighting fixtures and furniture has been closed (or moved to a new location).

This used to be a well-run fine shop where to buy high-end light fixtures of design until it was taken over by one of those so-called industrial management group at the beginning of 2017. Soon after the space was reinvented and adapted to fit Valcucine's kitchens and Driade's furniture and reopened with great pomp its doors to the public during the ICFF of the same year. Then, suddenly, after only few weeks closed again and then reopened at the end of the same year. Today I found out that the kitchens are gone and that for unspecified reasons they not only suddenly canceled the party they planned to host there during the ICFF 2018 but also that they will be closed!!! This is the perfect example of a company without corporate and strategic foresight and planning that has no clue about how to stay on the market. At this point the questions are: How can they still have the courage to keep going after all these events that have indelibly stained their reputation? How can they expect to be still considered a reliable source of products by trade professionals like me and end users alike? What a mess.... all very confusing, puzzling and unconceivable.
