I used to walk down Vestry Street almost everyday when I lived in Tribeca on my way to the waterfront. Back then it was more industrial. Lot of spice shops, and factories. Back then, the meat-packing district actually packed meat and stank horribly. For those who now live at the current Waterfront Condo building, you might be surprised what use to exist in that footprint.
