Loved my stay at Solari. The doormen Ravi, Marvin & Ryan are awesome - theyre as friendly and helpful as you could possibly hope for. The building is great too with 360 degrees rooftop views of Manhattan.

Ever since we moved in, we have been suffering from a strong marijuana odor wafting in through our vents almost every day. It also frequently wakes us up in the middle of the night (e.g., 3AM). Our understanding is that we are not the only ones experiencing this issue and that multiple residents across different floors have reported it as well. Despite the number of reports submitted to the management throughout the year, the problem still persists to this date, and in fact, the management doesn't even respond to our emails most of the time. I did a virtual tour here and was really excited because it seems to check a bunch of my boxes including awesome location and beautiful amenities, although the prices seemed a bit high. I was frustrated to learn that for this pet friendly building, theres an annual pet fee of $250 per pet and then just to access any amenities its $150 per person per month. So if I lived here with my boyfriend wed be spending $300 extra a month which seems a bit steep. I wish some of the amenities were available without this added fee! The cost might have not been an issue, but I was pretty underwhelmed by the amenities which was disappointing because I expected a lot. I wish Id gotten to meet the doorman because Ive read such amazing things about him, but Im also glad that I dont have to worry about that swaying my decision. Also saw some mixed reviews and worried about noise.
