We stayed at the 1080 Amsterdam location, and the staff there are really wonderful! If we had any issues with the apartment, they were swiftly taken care of, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful to your whatever you may need.

My experience here is pretty plesant. The doormen are friendly and will greet you with a warm smile whenever you return home. The location is also convenient for students studying in nearby universities.

For a building that charges four thousand dollars for a one bedroom, it has almost no amenities or public spaces. There are only four washer and dryers down in the basement of this twenty story building, and it closes at 11 pm. There is no in unit washer unless you live in the penthouse. Free events hosted by the management company are all held at their midtown locations, nothing here. Horrible location for a residential building. There is a fire station and a nursing home across the street, and Mt Sinai's emergency is on the other side of the avenue, meaning that there is always loud siren around the clock. The window air conditioners don't seal off completely so it's basically a cracked window, which is definitely not noise minimizing. This section of Amsterdam avenue is two way so it's packed with noisy trucks and buses day and night. No moves are permitted on weekends. Also, per the management and the super, a self move means your friends and family can't come into the building and help you move stuff. So I had to drag everything by myself, including my mattress, from my apartment to the elevator, to the lobby, to the curb, and then my folks can help me load onto the truck.
