Haywood Broun Towers

This building is not a luxury building and the rent is too high for the “amenities” and “services” offered. The elevators are old and routinely go down, sometimes both of them together for hours at a time! In a 20 floor building this is very problematic. The water is routinely shut off for large chunks of time, for the whole building or for apartment lines. In my three years of living in NYC this building has cost the most and has had the most issues and disappointments between elevators out of service and the water not working. Cannot tell you the number of times I have had perishables delivered (medication or groceries) and the 24hr doorman has not notified me that a perishable marked box was delivered for me… even after mentioning that I am expecting medication that needs to be refrigerated. The outdoor patio cannot be used for gatherings or even to eat food so I am not sure what that space is even to be used for. The AC in the lobby consistently breaks so nothing like a gush of hot stagnant air to greet you as you walk in. This is not a luxury or even nice building!

The picture on Google and many other online maps shows the entrance of 175 West 90th street as being located on the side of the building. The entrance of the building is actually located in between 90th and 91st Street on Amsterdam Avenue. So if you go up 90th street past Amsterdam Ave and head towards Columbus Avenue, you are already going the wrong way. I have enclosed the actual entrance of the building.
