Updated: overall good results. Had a procedure here late last year. Main area of concern is that they do a morning and afternoon session. They begin the afternoon session before the morning session is complete. In my view, that means they've already committed to doing a certain size procedure on the morning patient in order to ensure there's time for the afternoon patient. The problem here is that you draw out the new hairline right before the procedure. So the doctor has every incentive to be extremely conservative with you, whether or not its warranted, to ensure that your procedure will be done in time for the afternoon patient. I felt that a little in my case.
Having said that, Blake is skilled in what he's doing.
More generally, don't expect the recepient area to be anywhere near as dense as the rest. In some hair types it comes out looking really close (thick, wavy hair). As for the scaring - its there. You should expect somewhere between 2-4mm. Hair at 5/8" will hide it. Anything lower and you can start to see the layering of the hair.

Over the years I have had about 6,000 Grafts done over most of my head from Dr. True in NYC. I was mostly satisfied with the results but 2 years ago I had decided I wanted a little touch up in the front corner since it was the only area that I feel he didn't come out well and I felt I had enough donor hair to do the work. After doing extensive research and hearing all the great reviews I decided to go to Dr. Bloxham of Feller Bloxham who was closer to me and seemed to have more experience with FUE since I could no longer do FUT because of excessive scarring. Dr True was not comfortable and experienced enough to do it. I did one touch up of about 250 grafts and then came back a year later for another 150. And will tell you the results were excellent and natural and I still have a fair enough amount of hair in my donor area so that it looks full. Though both surgeons are very good I would put Dr. Bloxham a star above Dr. true for two reasons. Number one he is more experienced and confident with FUE procedure and secondly his bedside manner is by far much better. He takes the time to make sure you are comfortable and feeling no pain and is just more personable and friendly. As I said the results were excellent so if your planning on trying this I highly recommend him. BTW if you are coming in from NYC his office is about a 7 minute Uber ride from The Great neck LIRR train station and there is ample parking at the building if driving.

Dr Alan Feller is a good honest human being. I came to him for a free consultation. he said I dont have enough hair donor for hair transplant and didnt wanna take my money. I wish we had more honest people like him.

My entire life I never liked my hairline, so when I was 32 I decided it was time to do something about it. After some deep research, plus a consultation I decided to go with Dr. Bloxham.
14 months later after a 1600 graft FUT procedure I couldn't be happier with the results Dr. B and his team provided me. If you're looking for a QUALITY, NATURAL looking transplant, look no further because this is the place. The entire procedure is done by HAND (exactly how it should be done). You won't find any "state of the art robots" here.
Dr. B also takes the long term future into consideration when deciding what is best for the patient which is something not every Dr. cares about.
I will be back if and when my crown starts to go. I never have to worry about hair loss or thinning ever again just knowing Dr. B and his highly skilled team of technicians will be right there waiting for me when the time is right.

I underwent two FUT hair transplant surgeries (both frontal band, and the only surgeries I've had) with Dr. Bloxham (in Nov 2017 and Nov 2019), both of which went extremely smoothly and the results of each are absolutely phenomenal! Everyday I'm thankful I got these procedures done and that I was lucky enough to find a doctor as skillful, as honest and as caring as Dr. Bloxham to do them. The final results are just so perfect and I highly recommend to anyone thinking about getting a hair transplant to consider Feller and Bloxham (they have a really in depth and informational YouTube channel, which I watched a ton of before scheduling my first procedure, their videos answered a lot of my questions).
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bloxham and his practice, everyone there is extremely kind, patient, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They really are the best! The operative care was awesome and the procedures themselves went great, I felt relaxed and comfortable the whole time.
The information I got about post operative care was extensive and thorough and went a long way to marking the recovery process comfortable and easy to manage. Dr. Bloxham and his staff are very responsive, I had a few questions before and after my procedures and I always received quick replies that fully addressed my questions.
I live ~400 miles from NYC so I had to travel for both procedures, and both times were so easy thanks to the high quality post op care, the advice Dr. Bloxham gave me regarding travel and the attention to details he gave to my procedures.
I'm fortunate enough to have many family members in the medical field, so I had my staples removed at home, it went well both times. Once the staples came out the recovery process felt like it went sooo much faster.
I never experienced any complications or issues and after 6 months I started noticing good growth, after 12-18 months everything matured nicely. It was actually really exciting waiting and seeing the results come in, and the final outcome was worth every second!
Bottom line, I'm just super happy with how everything went and how it all turned out! I think Dr. Bloxham did everything perfectly, I always felt like I was in the hands of an expert with a lot of knowledge and experience and also that he had my best interests at heart. Highly highly recommended!!!
