My son was a student here. The owner is never around. Was told he is in California. It is not run well. When I saw the owner he was mean and condescending. Not a good vibe for a place that is supposed to have discipline and a good learning experience. More like a dictator and a bully.

Be very careful of this Dojo... After my contract was up they automatically renewed my old contract then charged me $100 for canceling AFTER I filled out their paperwork to stop attending. This was after refusing to reimburse us the 2 additional months they debited from my account after I left.  I paid them more than 6k over the course of 3 yrs and they nickel and dimed me out the door, to the tune of an additional $500. There are better choices in the community.

The instructors from USSD also teach at Crestwood Day Camp. They are top notch.

United Studios of Self Defense helps kids develop much more than their karate skills. Master Larry and his dedicated team of instructors help students become more confident, more responsible, and more adaptable to challenging life situations.  My son earned his black belt through USSD and I couldn't be more proud of him, and thankful for the instruction, care and guidance he received at USSD.
