image I feel sad this vet clinic cancelled my pet appointment and prescribed me a medication I refused for my pet. They want a chemical restrain instead of a physical restrain. I really feel sad they cant help me and my pet.

image Amazing staff. My pet and I felt extremely cared about during our visit. They took the time to explain everything during the visit. Discussed options and cost. I cant say enough great things about this place. Thank you so much for all you do for our fur babies. We appreciate you more than you will ever know! Lots of love from RJ

image DON'T!!!
We've been at this vet for 4 years. We're not anxious pet parents. We have dog trainers in the family and have had experience with dogs our whole lives. We only go if it's an emergency or if we think something is seriously wrong. We've been there 4 times in the past year for the same issue.
We were at the vet for my dog's stomach last summer. He was given meds and a diet plan and that was that. The same issue came back on and off throughout fall and worsened this winter. His episodes were more frequent and his symptoms were worse so we went back a few weeks ago. He was given the same treatment...meds and a diet plan...we expressed our concerns. They seemed dismissive as if we were just overreacting to an upset stomach. They said he was being dramatic with his shaking.
The next week he threw up blood...
So we went back on Friday, 2/16. They did bloodwork and gave us more meds for his stomach. They also apparently noted an irritation under his armpit on his chart but did not share this info with us at the appointment.
We got the blood results back on Saturday telling us to HOSPITALIZE OUR DOG!!! His kidney levels were EXTREMELY HIGH and they'd been going up for quite some time.
So we went to the ER vet and they tried their best. They noticed the irritation under his armpit and mentioned it was in his chart. The ER vet told us it was in his chart from VCA but VCA NEVER TOLD US so we didn't think it was anything serious. We thought the Velcro on his coat caused mild irritation so we didn't think much of it. That 'slight irritation' turned into internal bruising. He was getting sicker. We had our dog put down on Tuesday 2/20, 4 days after being at VCA for the 4th time in a year for the same issue!!!
The Friday visit to VCA cost twice as much as the Saturday visit to the ER vet. VCA didn't take the health of our pet as seriously as they should've. The issue kept occurring and they tried the same treatment?? Try science. Science suggests that if you preform an experiment the same way you'll get the same outcome. So of course the sickness kept coming back.
RIP Henry.

image Just want to share how wonderful this Hospital has been to us with special consideration to the atypical visits weve had. We have been going to them since this past July of 2023 after unexpectedly taking in a dog with some health and behavior issues. I am not an experienced foster and was not planning on taking in what makes our 4th dog. His name is Rex, he is a 3 year old, 130 lb Mastiff and can be very intimidating for an anxious and untrained dog with stranger fear. They got us in for a new patient visit very quickly and were extremely accommodating and understanding of his issues. They looked up old records and took extra time and extra staff to make sure he was cared for. Upon leaving one of his first appointments, he was mildly sedated, not listening to any commands and growling at any attempt to get him in the car. Being a dog of his size, I was unable to move him on my own. The staff all came out, helped me get him back into the office, got him on a stretcher where we then slid him into the backseat of my car. This was incredibly stressful and heartbreaking for me but the staff made it bareable and eased so much of my anxiety. Since then, he has decompressed well, been neutered and has been in behavior training classes that has significantly helped his fear and anxiety however, he has also now developed a seizure disorder that landed us in the ER vet a few weeks ago. I had a follow up appointment with VCA Sheridan however I became very sick myself and called to reschedule his visit. However, after doing so, he had another seizure. The staff was once again wonderful and agreed to fit him in for a sick visit and examen him while I waited in the car. He has since been on seizure medications and starting to do better but is still having some neurological concerns. Without an appointment, his doctor agreed to meet with me in person and we discussed some next possible steps in his care plan. Thanks to them, we feel more at ease with everything going on and know that whatever is to come, we are in good hands !! Despite him being a foster, we feel that he wont be going anywhere any time soon

image We started taking Lola ( A 11year old Miniature Schnauzer) to Sheridan Animal a couple of months ago.We adopted her (due to an estate) and we found out she had been going there for years.
Little did we know that Lola had a few health issues as she had not been to the vets for two years. Things turned worse health-wise and we lost her (yesterday) primarily due to a heart issue and a very low blood count. On her final day Dr Christy provided us with her diagnosis and spent 3 hours doing blood tests and providing us with the latest updates in a very thorough and understanding way.
Unfortunately there was only one thing that could have been done. When we returned several hours later Dr Christy and her staff handled the situation very compassionatel
My one suggestion is to move the scale away from the door as you go back to the examination room. Not being familiar with where we were going my wife tripped over it and fell on the scale .
As it seems to be a poor location for it, my suggestion is to move it into the waiting room.
I have been to other Vet facilities and they locate their scale in the waiting room when there is not sufficient space in the hallway.
Thank you and we would not hesitate to recommend your fine facility!
