This is by far the worst Marriott I have ever stayed in. Upon arrival after my flight being cancelled and driving 5.5 hrs in downpours and a thunderstorm, I was giving attitude by the receptionist, until she realized I was an elite member and then decided to ask if I wanted wine, that made it better, until I got to the room. The room was absolutely disgusting and if it wasn't 11pm by the time I got there and had to arrive at work at 630am, I would have completely left the place and went to another hotel. The bed and sheets had not been cleaned. I ended up sleeping on top of the covers in all of my long clothes because I was so grossed out. There were crumbs left in the bed, along with hair, stains all over the floor. I did not even want to look anymore because I was sleeping myself completely out. I attempted to use the coffee maker in the room, broken.. I checked out right in the morning and one of the staff members kept saying the F word at the desk. Classless. I was supposed to stay here again for work next week for the entire week, however I stayed up later to contact Marriott to cancel my reservation so I could stay elsewhere. Beyond disappointed.
Also, this morning I went to purchase fruit, it was old, molding, I was gagging at it.

My husband and I had a terrible experience at the Aloft when we stayed on Friday night. Upon checking into the room we immediately found that shower had mold around the sealing and the carpeting near our bed was wet. We waited several hours for the wet carpeting to dry and placed towels over the areas to soak up the liquid. Later in the evening, we lifted the towel only to find a yellow stain which looked like urine (see images of soiled towels below which were laid over the wet spots). I immediately called the front desk that evening and explained the situation to the front desk associate who had little time to address the issue and she continued blaming the wet spots on a leak from the ceiling / floor. There was no physical damage to the ceiling and the floor was concrete under the carpeting. Two maintenance men came up to inspect the situation - after the first one left, another came up and pulled up the carpeting to check - he mentioned something could have spilled. We had no beverages in the room, nor were they of a yellow color. It was an extremely frustrating situation that we encountered. On Saturday morning, a courteous front desk associate found a new room for us to move into which was better than the previous. I’m still frustrated about the situation and what we experienced while trying to enjoy our getaway in Brooklyn.

I stayed here previously for work and the level of service is declining very rapidly. The swimming pool is now only accessible to guests from 5-10pm because it's being rented during the day. Also, there was no one available to prepare breakfast at the Re:fuel station which meant I either had to have cold food or go out to buy.
If you're looking for the convenience of service or to relax at the pool, forget it!! I paid a higher price for facilities that I was simply unable to use, without notice from the hotel at the time of booking. I will never stay here again, that's for sure

Every floor has an overwhelming odor of marijuana as soon as you step off the elevators. Horribly overpriced for the size of the room you get. The lobby doesn't have very comfortable sofas or chairs to sit in. This hotel also does not accept packages you have shipped to them yourself. Would definitely not recommend staying here.
