I live in Williamsburg, and my washing machine broke and my apartment got soaked. Merit Adjusters helped me recover over $12,000 from my Insurance Company. My building in New york City suffered a fire in one of the top floor apartments. The fire itself was not as bad as the damage caused by the Fire Department, soaking every floor beneath, and shutting off the gas service to the entire building. To get the gas back on, we needed to perform a pressure test, which caused dozens of other pipe breaks in the plumbing system. Repairs ended up being over $130,000. In the beginning the Insurance Company tried to exclude these gas repair expenses, claiming it wasn't part of the fire. But in the end, Merit Adjusters was able to get the Carrier to honor the policy language, and cover the entire expense.
