Dr. Andrew G. Oliphant, DDS

Due to lack of dental insurance coupled with COVID precautions, the last time I went to a dentist was in 2017.  I expected that major work would be required.  I had slight headaches, which were caused by a cavity on my left molar.  The cavity caused my gums to become inflamed and bleed.  I found Dr. Oliphant based on Yelp reviews.  After an initial assessment and a few X-rays, I simply needed a deep cleaning.  My self-assessed cavity didn't exist.  Instead, it was the result of shoddy work from a prior dentist that caused a rough patch on my molar along the gum line.  Dr. Oliphant cleaned my teeth and checked in multiple times to confirm I wasn't in pain.  I didn't feel anything but the sweet sensation of years of plaque being gently removed!  He also used a drill bit to smooth over the shoddy work of my prior dentist.  True to the reviews, he was very reasonable priced, non-judgmental, informative, quick, efficient, organized and pleasant.  I loved the artwork in his office and jazz music playing softly in the background.  My only regret is not seeing him sooner!

After I had an unsatisfactory visit to a Downtown Brooklyn dental clinic that advertises on TV, several neighbors recommended Dr. Oliphant. As a new patient, I was delighted that he scheduled me as an emergency for my painful broken tooth but mostly I was impressed with his professionalism, kindness and thorough mastery of dental techniques. I anticipate being among his loyal patients for many years to come.

Great dentist, very calm and gentle. Dr. Andrew has been my favorite dentist since living in New York. He does a very thorough job and doesnt try to sell you on anything. Highly recommended dentist if you live in the area

Dr. Oliphant has been my dentist for almost ten years now. When I first came to him, I was extremely embarrassed about the state of my teeth after years of not having insurance and neglect. I was in pain and called his office one day and was surprised when he answered the phone. I told him Im afraid to come in, my teeth are a mess...Ill never forget his reaction. He said Im here to help you, not judge you. Ive seen everything and you arent alone. Come on in. His kind demeanor really eased my anxious mind and hes been my guy ever since. He does fantastic work and he carefully explains what hes doing and why and doesnt try to upsell you on services you dont need. I trust him and I would recommend him to anyone. Great guy and hes got an equally kind/friendly front desk rep and staff.
