I wasn't going to leave a review but Minchin sent an email requesting one so I figured I would leave one. I took my truck in for an oil change and to get the remote looked at since it has been not working randomly. The service person helping me told me it was probably the battery and I said it was probably not the battery since I just changed them. She said she would have the tech look at it and then tries to upsell me on a $700 throttle body service super-fast and when I politely decline, she goes back into the pitch and tries to sell it to me again. I politely decline and go to the waiting area.
About an hour later, she comes and gets me and tells me that the truck is done. She hands me the paperwork and I see the oil change on the paperwork but no mention of the remote. I ask about the remote and she checks and says they didn't do it; asked me to wait and took the remote to the tech. It took three minutes, and she comes back and says the battery is fine and the remote seems to work... I said it was an intermittent issue... she says those are hard to fix...note: nobody looked at the truck to see if the issue could be on the receiving end...I'm not an expert but I would assume the problem could be on the passing or the receiving side... and then she tries to sell me the cleaning service again telling me it does wonders for older trucks...(my truck was bought new and currently has 14,900 miles on it).
Long story short she was so focused on selling me a service I didn't want that 1/2 the reason I came in wasn't addressed and when I followed up it was given a cursory glance...and I was possibly told that it was too hard for them to diagnose and fix (I might be uncharitably interpreting the conversation on how intermittent problems are hard to fix when someone spends three minutes on it..,)
Anyways, I smile and pay for the oil change and leave. I don't know if they did the multipoint inspection on my truck that my old Ford dealership did when I took my truck in (fill the tires, top off wiper fluid etc.) it wasn't mentioned in the paperwork, but I got my oil changed... so yeah... a below average experience 2 stars.
