THIS IS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I FEEL BAD FOR THE STAFF THEY WILL NEVER MAKE MUCH WORKING AT A PLACE LIKE THIS. THE BAR TENDER DOES'NT KNOW HOW TO EVEN MAKE A MARGARITA. STEAKS HAVE NO FLAVOR, AND WAY OVER PRICED. I ORDERED A SIDE OF GRILLED ONIONS THEY CAME OUT BLACK AND HARD. THEY BURNED THE APPETIZER. TOOK FOREVER FOR OUR NASTY FOOD TO COME OUT. THE TABLE NEXT TO US ALSO COMPLAINED AND THE MANAGER WOULD NOT EVEN COME OUT. MY 8 YEAR OLD CAN COOK BETTER THAN THESE PEOPLE. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS CRAP HOLE.

We just left Timbers after the worst experience we have had in NM. I had originally ordered the chicken kiev, but our waitress said it was not being served. (Funny thing is the lady at the next table ordered it five minutes later no problem!) Our waitress was inattentive. We went without refills on our drinks and bread while waiting forever to get our cold food. We both ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. I would say we gave it our best shot at choking it down because you couldn't chew it. The waitress asked what wrong and we said we just didn't care for it. She insisted we tell her why, so we said it is tough, cold, and the mashed potatoes were cold. She asked what she could do to make it better, but all we wanted was to pay and leave.
She came back with the manager who saw how little we had eaten, and she asked if we would like another one or à free dessert. Why would we want another bad plate that now has been flavored with who knows what in the kitchen. We simply said no thank you, these things happen. The manager took 10% off our bill.
Unfortunately for us the pay station was right behind our table. We overheard our waitress saying to another waiter how she just had à feeling about those people. That other waiter proceeded to drop the "F-bomb" loud enough for my 4 and 6 year old to hear as we walked by to go down stairs. (He had funky hair and messed up the bill he was working on.)
Downstairs à waiter dropped his tray of food and yelled out s#@! , also loud enough for my kids to hear.
You see good and bad reviews about this restaurant. For my family, it was by far the worst dining experience we had while here.

Arrived at Timbers around 5:20 and were seated immediately by a snotty high school age hostess. We sat right next to the waitress station on the upper level. After about 10 minutes we were greeted by our waiter and he took our drink order. After yet another 15 minutes of watching the wait staff chitchat with each other, we got our food order taken. I am not sure if Timbers has changed management in the last few years, but the service and atmosphere is horrible compared to just a few years ago. You also should probably wipe out your wait staff and start over. Food isn't bad, however selection and pricing may be something you should improve on.

Ate late on Labor Day. Excellent service,staff friendly,meat loaf was delicious, friend had cod-old but one doesn't go to red river for fish unless it's trout! None on menu
