The 'owners' say "...resort style amenities"???? HA HA that is laughable. We lived there 7 years - in which time we know All the Facts. THEY are the ones out of touch with people as human beings. And the Municipal taxes did not go up enough to warrant $35 from EACH house in SFW and that is EVERY month
Old review: I was reading the Summerfields page and it is Laughable how they describe it "no taxes (except for the EXTRA you pay in your lot rent for THEIR property taxes going up); no maintenance - REALLY? NOT..; " Selling out? People who move in, find out what it is Really like and want to move out!

I have a question about Summerfield with all the new houses being built how can one pool and one gym accommodate all those hundreds of residents? Will they be adding another amenities area?

Patty Lamplugh was selling us a house and we absolutely loved it!!! We had some hurdles but we were pre approved ( have the pre approval) had $ $1000 dollars down for deposit! Wanted to bring the rest of the deposit money to her but she said no. Well out of no where she sold the house to someone else! We had kept in touch with her the whole time. The mortgage lady went out sick and were told but another person who worked in the office they were short handed and had to wait until she came back to go any further. We called Patty Lanplugh and told her. At NO time did she say she sell the house to someone else!! We thought we were pre approved, had the down payment $1000 down just waiting for mortgage lady to come back from being sick get everything signed and move in!!! Nope!! Patty Lamplugh sold the house and while we were at our grandsons lacross game left a message in my husbands voice mail!! My husband called her in the phone, we were crushed her answer was it is business!! She feels she did nothing wrong!!! I have been sick since all this happened! But I have to move in( very bad diabetic , my health isnt good. But Patty Lamplugh you were 100 percent wrong what you did to us!!! I believe in karma !!! If you did it to us what will you do to other people!!

The people who own the homes are nice and generally friendly. However, the management and owners are rude, entitled, and downright arrogant. They are only interested in your money and nothing else. I would look elsewhere for somewhere to retire or at least somewhere that cares about the people who pay their rent.
Edit: In response to Summerfields finally responding to my review after 4 months.... I don't live in the community but my parents do. They've lived there for 6 years now and it has gotten progressively worse over time. They've had to fight for everything they've wanted to do to their house and rented lot, causing a lot of stress for them in what is supposed to be their place to relax and enjoy retirement. The lot rent goes up every year with no explanation as to why other than "because we can", if the office responds to the inquiry at all. My original review still stands as I believe you would be better off looking elsewhere to downsize and retire to. This is my only "agenda".
