I'm very disappointed with this gym. Matter of fact, I'm disappointed with the new management. The new owner just let this place close. I don't care if the other stores around it were closing; you advertise your business. I woke up at 4:30 to be at the gym at 5am just to find out that the gym closed this past Friday. Thank you for not letting us know by massive phone call or email. I should have figured something when the grill didn't have inventory in the fridge. And to find out they're moving to Newark on Frelinghuysen Avenue across the way from the DMV...I think not. I'll take my money/business somewhere else. I heard the gym was closing but I don't believe rumors until I see it for myself. I really enjoyed the gym but the management sucked. I paid for the month but it closed on the 12th. I'll be cancelling my membership and will be getting a refund for my dues.

The girls behind the counter are rude. The men who work in the gym area are incredibly dumb and the owner is a total creep. They voided their own contract with me, I have sent a signed and dated letter outlining each violation and that they are not to charge the card they have on file anymore and of course, they are still charging me. I'm once again on the phone with my credit card. Enough already!!!

BUYER BEWARE!! If you are thinking of joining this "gym", please make sure you thoroughly read the contract before you sign. I joined eleven years ago, but have been freezing my membership for the past few years because I found a gym I liked better. Just didn't want to have to pay the $200 joiners fee here again if I began to dislike my other gym. You have to freeze by the 15th of the month prior or they will charge you for that month. This time around I was late with the freeze so they wanted to charge me. Fair enough, my mistake. However the credit card they had on file was very old and no longer valid (as I said, I haven't gone there in years). When it wouldn't go through, they called me and advised me I now have to pay a $15 fee for the declined credit card. They say it's like a bounced check fee. Yeah, except with a bounced check, the BANK is the one charging THEM the fee, so they pass that on to the customer. What the heck is this fee for? SCAM!!!! I was not happy so I went there to cancel. They also charge a $20 fee if you don't bring in your original contract with you when you cancel. Because most people must keep their gym contracts from ELEVEN YEARS ago! They aren't stupid. They probably sit around and figure out what obscure things they can charge for. "Hmmmm, I bet nobody saves their gym contract for that long.....yeah let's charge them when they cancel and don't have their contract anymore!"I asked them when they were going to start charging for parking, and what would the fee be to open and close the door each time a customer comes and goes. Seriously, how they get away with these nonsensical fees is beyond me. Read your contract people. I wish I would have.
