Three years ago my gynecologist referred me to Dr. Salamon. I had a severe prolapse. The bladder fell down and the intestine shifted completely from its place. Literally became detached. I had difficulty urinating. My gynecologist, who has been practicing for about 25 years, said this was the worst case he ever saw. I was afraid to leave my house. Dr. Salamon had to reschedule the surgery for a sooner date because the surgery became urgent. Before the surgery, I was bleeding, not urinating well, and stressed. The surgery was done in Morristown Memorial Hospital. It was hysterectomy with reconstruction through the vagina, which lasted four and a half hour. I was afraid of the surgery. But it was very successful. I stayed in the hospital for two nights. I hardly felt any pain after the surgery, while in the hospital or at home. I left the hospital with a catheter due to the amount of anesthesia in my body. Dr. Salamon warned me not to carry heavy items and not to be constipated, from that day on for the rest of my life, and I followed these instructions. Before the surgery, Dr. Salamon and I discussed whether to use a net because the surgery was so massive. I refused because I suffer from severe migraines and tend to have chronic pain and Dr. Dalamon told me that was the only side effect known of the net. Three years passed, and I just came back from a check-up at his office. Everything looks great, the bladder went down a bit but that is all. From visiting his office many times I can say that most of his office staff are friendly, and you can always ask that Dr. Salamon will call you back and he does. If someone in the office is unprofessional then Dr. Salamon likes to know the name of that person. I had a problem with the nurses in the Summit office who did not believe how severe my condition was before the surgery, and at the time Dr. Salamon was away on vacation, so my gynecologist called the office and another doctor saw me until Dr. Salamon came back. I strongly recommend appointments early in the mornings and not late in the afternoon.
